Tamara Birkemoe serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Foresight Unlimited where she oversees the day-to-day operations and all creative aspects of the company. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the aquisition, development, production, sales and distribution of all feature films. In addition, Birkemoe serves on the Board of Directors of the International Film and Television Alliance (IFTA).
Birkemoe is a leading expert in foreign sales and brings 14 years of extensive experience and knowledge of the entertainment industry. She has shepherded numerous projects from acquisition and development through distribution.
Birkemoe is currently executive producing the comedy And So It Goes…, starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton and directed by Rob Reiner, and executive produced the 2013 releases 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg and Lone Survivor, starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Peter Berg. She was also responsible for selling these titles to independent distributors worldwide.
Birkemoe previously executive produced The Ledge starring Charlie Hunnam and Liv Tyler and Flypaper, directed by Rob Minkoff and starring Patrick Dempsey and Ashley Judd. She also co-produced Beyond A Reasonable Doubt starring Michael Douglas and Captivity starring Elisha Cuthbert.
Birkemoe was integral in the development and sales of numerous other projects including Oscar-winner Monster, starring Charlize Theron; Running Scared, starring Paul Walker; Havoc, starring Anne Hathaway and The Upside of Anger, starring Joan Allen and Kevin Costner. In addition, she was an associate producer on Lovewrecked, It’s Alive, and Universal Soldier: Regeneration.
Prior to Foresight Unlimited, Birkemoe was an executive at Media 8 Entertainment and MDP Worldwide.
She is fluent in five languages and is a graduate of the Film and Television program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
