Tamara Birkemoe serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Foresight Unlimited and oversees the day-to-day operations and all creative aspects of the company. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing acquisitions, development, production, sales and distribution of all feature films. In addition, Birkemoe serves on the Board of Directors of the International Film and Television Alliance (IFTA). Birkemoe brings more than 17 years of extensive hands on experience and knowledge of the entertainment industry and is considered one of the leading international distribution experts. Throughout her career she has shepherded numerous projects from acquisition and development through worldwide sales and distribution. Birkemoe is currently executive producing The Last Full Measure and Category 5, directed by Rob Cohen, and most recently executive produced Blind, starring Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore, and And So It Goes, starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton and directed by Rob Reiner. She also executive produced 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, and Lone Survivor, starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Peter Berg. Her previous executive producing credits include The Ledge, starring Charlie Hunnam, and Flypaper, starring Patrick Dempsey. She co-produced Beyond A Reasonable Doubt and Captivity, and was integral in the development and sales of numerous other projects, including Oscar-winner Monster, starring Charlize Theron; Running Scared, starring Paul Walker; Havoc, starring Anne Hathaway; and The Upside of Anger, starring Joan Allen and Kevin Costner. In addition, she was an associate producer on Lovewrecked, It’s Alive, and Universal Soldier: Regeneration. Prior to Foresight Unlimited, Birkemoe was an executive at Media 8 Entertainment and at MDP Worldwide. Birkemoe grew up in both Sweden and Italy, and is fluent in five languages. She is a graduate of the Film and Television program at the University of California, Los Angeles and participates in the UCLA Alumni Mentor Program, where she shares her professional expertise with a current UCLA student.
